This week, I’m on Twitter as the guest Tweeter for the @OurCofELike account! This is described as “an opportunity to give people an idea of how vast, diverse and interesting the Church of England is. It gives The Church of England the opportunity to show the best sides of itself and all it has to offer in all the different ways we go about our daily lives inside the Church. It is an opportunity to reflect and expound on the best of parish and local life in the Church of England – the things that rarely get in the media. They key word here is insight, we’re letting people peek behind the curtain to see how we work day in, day out, this includes things people might expect us to be doing, unusual jobs, funny encounters, being in unusual places and through all this, how God is with them through all of this.”
With this in mind I’ve been Tweeting throughout the week, seeking to capture the diversity of my role as Vicar of St Christopher’s Church, in Coventry. Some of you may wonder how I fill my time; well, this can give you a snapshot.
I’ll be Tweeting until Sunday evening, and you can follow me on http://twitter.com/ourcofelike
For those of you not on Twitter, I thought it would be helpful for you to see my Tweets here, and I’ll update them through the week until Sunday.
It’s been a huge privilege to be able to give an insight into God’s work here in Allesley Park and Whoberley and to remind me that I have possibly the best job in the world!
